The End 03:34
Another moonlit stroll in the park Another useless girl in your arms But you've got to get creative I simply don't know what to tell you It doesn't get more plain than that But if you really want an answer All you have to do is ask Even if you've had enough It's not the end of the world It's not the end of the world It's all caving in Too dark to see I'm falling again No saving me It's not the end of the world It's not the end of the world

How's this any different from the story of my life? Constant inconsistency— it's the only thing I have. It's been the same since second grade, but I keep growing anyway (if you could call it that). I'd rather think of it as involuntary velocity— You try so hard to stop but life just goes on and on. And before you know it the years have come and gone and all the things you ever loved or held as true have come and gone too. Still I'll be here waiting for someone like you to appear in my life again and give me a reason to smile and to live. But like all things this love must come to end. Our tears and memories will dry. 2x

So It Goes 04:42
What a funny way to go After all that we've been through Shake my hand 'cause we both know This is what we need to do I've made a new friend That makes me feel human again I think that that's a sign That it's time— To leave this all behind It may be months before I sleep again Filling my empty bed with empty friends Trying to forget The emptiness I miss your arms And I miss your warmth But our love was growing cold So I know— It was time for me to go I'm starting all over again Can't believe You're just a ghost in my head And I'm free And when we meet again We'll be distant as bookends Small talk with me Smile and be sweet Oh, we'll pretend we didn't know All the things that made the two of us go Crazy You've missed me, I've changed you, you'll say You don't see us as a mistake So why don't we lay for the sake of old times in each other's arms? "It won't do any harm." But when the morning comes You'll be gone After all that we've been through.

What are we if not for sharing life? Ant antennas mingling for the sake of death? The rock does turn to dust where flowers grow. A rock still turns to dust, and that is love. This life is full of walking voids An empty life of light and noise That music someday could become If we were not so alone But fear and hate do overcome The best of us, and worst of all We watch our fellow soldiers fall and we march along Alive in this dying life Awake in this silent night I've tried and tried with all my might Alone in this crowded room A room with only you In the corner of my eyes I thought I could be strong By standing on my own... But what are we if not for sharing life? Ant antennas mingling for the sake of death? The rock does turn to dust where flowers grow. A rock still turns to dust, and that is love. So I reach out for a hand to hold But all I feel is sand and your ego, vices, weaknesses-- And I love you all the more This bottle's getting empty fast But my heart is filling full of hope. and truth. and loneliness. of hate. and loss. and you. But after all the gaining loving lost I realize that loneliness and love Both in their never-ending ways have won Yet, in the end... The rock does turn to dust where flowers grow. A rock still turns to dust. And that is love.

I've been let down too many times to tell myself that life is gonna change Yet somehow I've found that I continue living life and hoping anyway I've come to terms with the fact that all is fair in love and war they say Someday I'll learn to understand these twisted rules they've set for me to play Until then, I'm merely just a pawn Until then, I'll play along I've been let down, but so have you and you and you and you So let's gather round and share this time to sing along to just a song or two Until then, just know that you belong Until then, let's get along I've lost so much but learned much more In this game of give or take And in the end we stand to gain So much more than we can take Leave room for mistakes And times of heartache I’ve been let down too many times to tell myself that life is gonna change Yet somehow I’ve found that I continue living life and hoping anyway Life is a game, no one’s to blame We play to win just to get by We'll make up rules but we're such fools Truth only knows what's wrong or right And she'll defend it through the night We'll only find her if we try And we'll see everything is fine

It Was Love 03:39
it's a cloudy day, that's all i've seen many cloudy days before it has drizzled, it has poured but listen: i think i hear the birds i've never cared much for rainbows they only show when you're at the right angle and i know they are just illusions which makes me think of you again life is like a book it's never how it looks life is like your love it's here and then it's gone keep this in mind: the grass smells sweeter when it's wet and dreams exist though you forget and though sometimes i wish we'd never met it was love it was love it's a sunny day, that's all i've seen many sunny days before i've been warmed and i've been burned but listen: it was love

Time, you are a ghost Tomorrow's just as close as here, as far as years Time, you've got no corpse No skeleton that begins or ends When I think of all the people I've become All of a sudden, they all are one When I think of all the people that I'll be I will remember, they all are me We all follow a line That we think of as time But it's all in our minds In our minds All your life has been set Infinite determinants determine it But don't fret or forget To live it All our lives we spend afraid Of the futures we have made Living our lives day by day Without god. Without faith. I just wish that we could see Everything's how it should be See and then really believe Everything's how it should be Everything's how it should be.

Little One 01:54
Sleep, little one Your life has just begun This is your rising sun Sleep, little one You are our jewel of hope There's so much you don't know Your heart is pure as snow Sweet little one There's a world out there waiting for you Full of suffering, full of love I just hope that you'll see All the love and beauty Sleep, little one

Change 02:41
Please give me the strength To accept things I can't change Teach me when to walk away Without wanting to blame And teach me when to say Things won't always go my way That no one ever stays That I'll spend my days On my own So I might as well enjoy it All alone It's so calm and cool and quiet It's such a lovely day I think that I'll go lay For a minute in those warming rays On my own 'cause I might as well enjoy it All alone It's so nice and warm and quiet But one day someone sweet will come my way And I'll keep him at bay Because I am afraid Please give me the strength To accept that things change Teach me when to stay And live for today
